The BA degree programme of political science provides introduction into the wide scope of the discipline. It is focused primarily on theoretical study of four subfields – political philosophy and theory, comparative politics, Czech political history, and theory of international relations. In pursuing a multidisciplinary approach, there are overlaps into the related disciplines of philosophy, sociology and historiography. Students aquire a wide range of methodological tools.

Graduate profile for the public:
The BA graduate is capable of employing basic qualitative and quantitative methods and analytical tools to study contemporary political and social phenomena. He/she knows current literature on political philosophy, Czech political history, comparative politics and theory of international relations. The graduate has knowledge of political systems in the Central Europe, and is able to critically perceive transformation of political regimes and political identities in the region.
