SP characteristics

The primary aim is to offer applicants an academic-oriented modern programme of study which combines contemporary education in cultural anthropology with innovated traditional ethnological approaches, aiming at a profound understanding of both the current issues of today’s globalized world (e.g. ethnicity, urban and peace-making anthropology), as well as their historical roots and continuities (the revitalization of collective identities, the clash between primary and secondary orality, the ritualization of public space, to name but a few topics), with a special focus on the geographical and cultural space of Europe.
