Study programmes

Graduates are fully qualified teachers of mathematics at upper and lower secondary schools of all types. They have a sufficiently broad and deep knowledge of mathematics even for work with talented pupils and they are able to apply their knowledge and to use modern technologies. The professional component of the graduate study enables the graduate to apply well in practice even outside the area of education, especially in positions requiring knowledge of mathematics. They have developed skills necessary to motivate students and they use various pedagogical and psychological methods to teach and educate pupils successfully in a real school environment. They have sufficient practical teaching experience and they have obtained basic knowledge of the organization of the school.
