The study programme in the Teaching of Czech Language and Literature for Secondary Schools provides students with an education in linguistic and literary Czech Studies while also contributing to their employability in the education sector. Linguistic and literary modules are, therefore, complemented with general and Czech studies-oriented teacher training. Graduates have acquired basic competencies for the teaching profession, i.e. they understand their own position as novice teachers and possess the fundamental knowledge and skills required to embark on their teaching careers.

Graduate profile for the public:
Graduates are equipped with the pedagogical and professional skills required for employment as teachers in accordance with Act No. 563/2004 Sb., as amended, related to the teaching of Czech language and literature and related subjects. Furthermore, graduates are qualified for positions which require a master’s degree in the field and for continuation in the doctoral programme in pedagogy, the didactics of Czech language and/or literature, applied linguistics or related subjects.
