The two-year master's program in Chemistry Teacher Education for Secondary Schools is the final step in preparation for the teaching profession. The program graduates are educated in the field of chemistry, pedagogy, psychology and didactics of chemistry. The program can be studied in combination with another related discipline (usually biology, mathematics, physics or geology), but it is also possible to study a full curriculum focused only on chemistry education.

The graduate is acquainted with both the theoretical knowledge of chemistry and the skills necessary to work in the chemical laboratory, as well as the knowledge and practical skills of pedagogy, psychology and didactics of chemistry, which are necessary for teaching science subjects. It is theoretically and practically ready for the teaching profession, research, activities in the field of science popularization, lifelong learning or in the state administration.
