The study program prepares computer science teachers for upper and lower secondary school. It extends the bachelor studies where the student got the fundamental expertise needed to teach computer science in upper and lower secondary school. It includes some of the more challenging aspects of computer science as well as a professional preparation and training (pedagogical and psychological sciences, didactics, teaching practice). A wide range of optional courses and a choice of thesis topic enable the students to expand their knowledge in areas that interest them and where they want to specialize.

Graduate profile for the public:
Graduates are fully qualified teachers of computer science at lower and upper secondary schools. They have a sufficiently broad and deep knowledge of computer science and are able to apply their knowledge and to use modern technologies. They have developed skills necessary to motivate students and they use various pedagogical and psychological methods to teach and educate pupils successfully in a real school environment. They have sufficient practical teaching experience and they have obtained basic knowledge of the organization of the school. The professional component of the graduate study enables the graduate to apply well in practice even outside the area of education, especially in positions requiring knowledge of computers and information technologies.
