Anotace

This course is aimed at students who wish to develop a level of competence in contemporary Czech language sufficient for communication and comprehension of A1 level according to The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. The appropriate skills of listening comprehension and reading in Czech are covered. The course focuses on building vocabulary and grammatical structures. Communication skills are the immediate focus of the course, and students will work toward reading, understanding and discussing simple Czech texts as the semester progresses.

Cíl předmětu

Students A1 objectives are understanding and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases aimed at the satisfaction of needs of a concrete type. They can introduce themselves and others and can ask and answer questions about personal details such as where they live, people they know and things they have. They can interact in a simple way provided the other person talks slowly and clearly and is prepared to help.

Podmínky zakončení předmětu

The Final Test, 2 absences max., Conditional completion of Czech Language courses 1 / Receptive Language skills 1 / Productive Language skills 1

The test will take place during our last lesson on Wednesday 6th January. The test will consist of two parts – listening and reading. To past the test successfully you need to have over 60 % correct.
