Study programmes

The graduate of the study program Training Teachers of General Subjects at Lower and Higher Secondary Schools – Introduction to Social Sciences has extensive education in social sciences, philosophy, and pedagogy. He or she fosters interdisciplinary approach to subject matters in classes. The graduate has the ability to consider societal problems of current concern in a systematic and critical manner with taking into consideration the past and future of their development. He or she is proficient in using educational methods and practices and can shape student´s understanding of individual, social, civic, law and moral values. The graduate is equipped with educational skills and qualifications to train students in the following fields: active citizenship, democratic and humanistic values, sensitivity to both european and non-european culture s, and pro-active awareness of contemporary civilization and environmental problems.
