Annotation -
The course consists of three 45-minute lessons per week in total. Sign up for one 90-minute and one 45-minute lesson. The aim of the course is to develop students' language skills towards C1 level (CEFR) with a focus on practical skills regarding speaking, reading, writing, and listening. The course is based on systematic work with the core textbook. Homework will be assigned from Advanced Language Practice by Michael Vince.

  • The student enhances their communicative competence in English.
  • The student improves their language proficiency according to the CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages).

Course completion requirements -
  • Active participation in the seminars
  • Attendance of at least 80%
  • Passing the credit test and the oral exam - scoring at least 70%
  • Number of exam dates: 1 regular + 2 resits

CAE certificates with an A or B grade, CPE certificates with an A, B, or C grade, and TOEFL certificates with a score of 100 or above can be recognized as equivalent to attendance. The certificate must be issued within the last two years.
