The Programme: (1) conveys the current state of knowledge in selected basic, borderline and applied pedagogical disciplines and enables the mastery of interdisciplinary contexts and epistemological and methodological paradigms of individual pedagogical sciences; (2) provides a solid basis for entry into doctoral studies; (3) opens up the possibilities of professional application of graduates by giving them a deep understanding of the theoretical and methodological foundations of the studied field and current issues of educational practice in school and non-school institutions, in the field of educational expertise and school management.

Graduate profile for the public:
The graduates are equipped with knowledge of philosophies of education, history of education and training, history of pedagogy, psycho-didactic theories, theories of personality development. They are aware of the complex philosophical and historical assumptions of the contemporary state of pedagogical ideas and institutions. They understand the basic types, forms, mechanisms, patterns and styles of human learning with regard to individual and age specificities; they are familiar with, and able to provide an expert interpretation of, theories and findings of borderline and applied pedagogical disciplines. They have an overview of the basic models of teaching and can assess their impact on the development of a child and young person's personality; are familiar with the types and specifics of both government and nongovernment educational settings; are familiar with legislation and related regulations, including departmental and inter-departmental relations and competences; understand the system of educational management and are familiar with the construction of curricula; are able to stimulate the positive development of a child and adolescent in accordance with the socially desirable process of socialization; are familiar with the family and social contexts of a child and adolescent's life as important conditions for their development; are familiar with the problems of socially pathological phenomena in children and adolescents, being aware of their own co-responsibility for their prevention. They know the methodology and methods of scientific work in pedagogy, being able to design and conduct scientific research and interpret its results.
