Requirements for credit Participation in seminars and practicals. A maximum of two excused absences are allowed, one for practicals and one for seminars. Excused absences must be sent only in advance in the excuse form. In case of a higher number of absences, the situation will be resolved individually with the Head of the Department of Internal Medicine.

. Practicals: Students will complete 12 practical exercises focusing on the following topics:
Digestive endoscopy (1 practical) Students will visit a digestive endoscopy unit to learn about the range of procedures performed there and their indications. The practicum will include working with a digestive endoscopy simulator.
Gastroenterology (3 practicals) During practicums in standard wards of the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology, students will learn about the most common diseases of the digestive tract by presenting individual cases.
Intensive care (2 practicals) During practicals at the intensive care unit students will learn the basic principles and procedures of intensive care through case presentations.
General Internal Medicine (2 practicals) The general internal medicine practicals will be held in all standard wards of internal medicine departments or in the workplaces of each teacher. During the practicals students will focus on clinical examination, results of ancillary examinations, differential diagnosis and therapeutic procedures.
Geriatrics (1 practical) Practicals will take place in the 3rd Department of Internal Medicine – Metabolic Care and Gerontology. During the practicals, students will learn the principles and procedures of geriatric care through the presentation of model cases.
ABCDE approach (1 practical) Training of acute patient examination using ABCDE approach.
Nephrology, clinical cases (1 practical) Practical, which will take place in the inpatient department of the Nephrology Clinic, will focus on the demonstration of typical cases of kidney disease.
Nephrology, renal replacement therapy (1 practical) Practical, which will take place at the Hemodialysis Center of the Nephrology Clinic, will focus on familiarizing with the environment of the department and the basic principles of hemodialysis therapy.
