The graduate of the master's degree in biology teaching has deep and up-to-date knowledge in biology and pedagogy including knowledge and skills in geology and environmental studies. At the same time, his pedagogical and psychological and especially didactic competencies are developed in such a way that all the components of his study are closely interconnected at the theoretical and practical level. A graduate of this master's degree is fully qualified as a teacher of science and biology for lower and upper secondary schools (ISCED 2 and ICSED 3). He/she is also prepared to PhD study of didactics of biology and geology in the Czech Republic and abroad.
The full study plan is focused on enlarging to scientific and didactic training of future teachers for teaching at primary and secondary schools via including profiled didactic subjects of biology and geology (i.e., School Project, Geology and Geology Teaching, Molecular Biology and Molecular Biology Teaching, Activating Methods of Biology Teaching, Didactics of Biology III, Seminar in Didactics of Biology and Practical Course of Techniques used in Teaching II) and at the same time via teaching specialized scientific courses (Practical Geology, Invasive Biology, Bryology and Lichenology and Soil Biology) enables further subjective profiling of graduates in biology and geology with maximal affinity to didactics of these scientific disciplines.
