The study program provides a university Master's degree study with a balanced ratio of theoretical and application part of teacher education. Its mission is a professional and pedagogical education on university level for student teachers with the aim to prepare them theoretically and practically for their teacher profession in fields of information and communication technologies and informatics. The graduates will acquire necessary competencies in the field of contemporary didactic concepts and methodological approaches to teaching relevant compulsory and facultative subjects, courses and projects in the field of information and communication technologies and informatics.
In a frame of a professional component of teacher education, the graduates are able to apply knowledge and skills in the field of interactive and mobile technologies, and educational robotic systems. They acquire skills for creation of educational applications and for using virtual systems, resp. augmented reality. Within a didactic component of teacher education, they are ready to apply knowledge of pedagogical disciplines in design and implementation of learning activities needed for example for teaching educational programming languages, to choose adequate teaching methods, to create didactic materials for teaching support, to implement digital technology and innovative approaches to teaching and learning. The graduates are ready to carry out educational activities in the field of ICT, resp. ICT and informatics within the meaning of the Framework Educational Program for Basic Education, resp. Framework Educational Program for Grammar Schools, respectively relevant parts of the curricula for secondary vocational education.
At the same time, graduates can apply the acquired education in a number of professions outside the education sector the performance of which is a prerequisite for their ability to lead or organize educational activities in the field of information communication technologies or informatics, as trainers, tutors or consultants for companies.

Graduate profile for the public:
Graduates of the Master's degree program in "Teacher Education of Information and Communication Technology for Lower and Upper Secondary Schools" can be employed as teachers of compulsory and optional subjects, respectively thematic units or educational fields of information and communication technologies and informatics at all types of elementary schools, grammar schools, secondary vocational schools and vocational schools.
In addition to their own teaching activities, graduates will be prepared to act as advisors and trainers in the use and development of ICT at schools, to lead and organize interest activities focused on the work of pupils with digital technologies and to take care of computer and information systems in schools. However, graduates of this field of study may apply their acquired education, including a set of competencies supporting their professional adaptability, in a number of professions outside the education sector, in the field of corporate ICT education as consultants and organizational workers.
In addition to their own teaching activities, graduates will be prepared to act as advisors and trainers in the use and development of ICT at schools, to lead and organize interest activities focused on the work of pupils with digital technologies and to take care of computer and information systems in schools.
