Study programmes

The graduate is able to apply theoretical knowledge in solving mathematical problems and practical problems, solvable by mathematical tools, including informational technology. He/she is equipped with skills which can be applied in the elaboration of data, writing a mathematical text, etc. He/she is prepared to work with children, youth and adults in extra-curricular activities, mainly aimed at mathematics, including the preparation and organisation of events connected to mathematics (such as competitions and after-school clubs). Thanks to the knowledge of mathematics, he/she is able to adapt to the changing work conditions mainly in the area of handling data and to an extent, in informational technologies. He/she is prepared to develop his/her knowledge and practical skills in courses of further education. The graduate can do qualified jobs at bureaus and institutions in private and state sectors, e.g., the employment office, social security bureaus, charities and civil societies oriented at after-school activities, clubs for children, youth and adults and active spending of free time. The graduate has enough knowledge of and experience with the e-learning form of study, he/she is able to use it for his/her own further education and to prepare support materials for it. The graduate has sufficient pre-requisites to continue with his/her education at the master's level, in the programme of teaching mathematics at the lower and upper secondary school.
