Lectures in Radiology follow the topics from Propedeutics of imaging methods. The lectures cover main pathological features you can find in head, neck, thorax, abdomen and pelvis. The imaging modalities X-ray, ultrasound, CT and MRI are taught. Our main focus is on interactive teaching with students participating in the diagnostic process.

You have all the theoretical information needed for the exam on the website " https://radio.lf1.cuni.cz/en/4year" – look on the presentations marked with an asterisk (in lecture 20 you can skip the beginning and watch only from slide 28). Furthermore, we will require knowledge of specialized dental issues from the lecture of MUDr. Hořejš (Wednesday morning lecture).

Credit

You will receive a credit for complete attendance. Deal with all absences (ideally in advance) with me (see contact below).

Exam

Exams will take place on the premises of the Radiodiagnostic Clinic (subsciption in sis). The exam consists of an exam test, which will contain a set of multiple questions with single best answer. The questions will be about 2/3 of the issues of radiation protection and nuclear medicine and 1/3 of the radiological topics. Regardless of the test result, an oral examination by a radiologist will follow, which will consist of an analysis of the test results and asking about the radiological topics from the online lectures. The final grade will be a combination of test result and oral performance. Students will be allowed to do the exam at Friday on the end of the week, or at any other later terms as needed.
