Darnton, Sarah Maza, and others. Through a combination of readings, discussions, and research projects,
students will engage with a variety of topics and methodologies within cultural history, linking these approaches
with broader discussions in the humanities and social sciences.
This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of cultural history, equipping them with the
analytical tools and theoretical frameworks needed to engage critically with primary sources and scholarly

In consideration of the varying capabilities and skills of our students, the evaluation approach integrates both oral and written assessments. This approach aims to provide each student with multiple avenues for evaluation.
