Scope of Paediatrics

Paediatrics is a core internal medical discipline focused on the care of children in both health and illness, from birth until the age of 19.

Pediatric propedeutics is focused on the growth and development of healthy children, their nutrition, and preventive care during childhood. In paediatric education, emphasis is also placed on paediatric cardiopulmonary resuscitation and diseases of individual organ systems, with attention to manifestations in the orofacial region and the specific features of dental care across different age groups in the context of systemic diseases.
