In Pharmacology delivered in term 6, the principal emphasis is laid on General Pharmacology, where an undergraduate is acquainted predominantly with the problems concerning the fate of drugs in the organism (pharmacokinetics) and with their mechanism(s) of action on the molecular level (pharmacodynamics), in order to be able to extract various pieces of information from and for systemic pharmacology. General pharmacology is also emphasized with respect to the fact that a practising pharmacist will have to help in this aspect in the orientation not only to the patient but also to the physician.
