SP characteristics

The Master's program Religious Studies enables the students to profile themselves in one of the two offered academic fields and let them acquire more profound knowledge of the specific field. The first one is oriented towards contemporary forms of monotheistic religions (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) while the other aims at various aspects of contemporary religiosity and spirituality. The graduate thus acquires complex knowledge in one field of religious studies. Other elective courses enrich this knowledge and provide him or her with effective tools for analysis and contextualization of particular phenomena. Thanks to deeper insight into methodological and theoretical issues in mandatory courses, the graduate is able to join academic discussion in religious studies through his or her independent research. Being provided with knowledge of contemporary forms of religious life and skills to grasp these forms in an academic manner enables the graduate to become professionally occupied in solving social issues associated with religion.
