Graduates of the master’s study programme in Russian Language and Literature are equipped with knowledge and practical competence in the Russian language (reading comprehension, writing skills, face-to-face communication) equivalent to the C2 level of the CEFR upon graduation. Graduates have a grounding in the Russian language system from the synchronic and diachronic perspectives. Furthermore, graduates of the single-curriculum study are provided with a thorough grounding in Russian literature placed within a broader context of the entire region and Europe and with a basic grounding in Russia’s past and current political and social affairs; double-curriculum graduates, on the other hand, only possess a basic knowledge of Russian literature placed within a broader context of the entire region and Europe and a very limited grounding in Russia’s past and current political and social affairs. The Russian language skills demonstrated upon graduation are identical for single and double-curriculum studies.

Graduate profile for the public:
Graduates are equipped with competence in the Russian language corresponding to the methods and structure of teaching according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, equivalent to the C2 level upon graduation. Furthermore, they have an advanced grounding in other fields closely related to their degree (philology, literary studies, culture and philosophy), qualifying them to apply for doctoral study in the relevant study programmes. Graduates are qualified for professional work in Russian-speaking contexts and in relevant international organizations and EU bodies with a focus on Russia and other Russian-speaking regions.
