The course focuses on the change of spatial-temporal mobility of Czech society in the European context in the 19th and 20th century. The role of the historical-sociological approach is emphasized. The lecture focuses on defining new trends of horizontal mobility which result from the rise of modern society – in the 19th and 20th century we observe changes of meaning of the means of transport, shortening time of travelling, the change of possibilities, purposes and motives of travelling.
