Kurs umožňuje absolventům kursu „Nová náboženská hnutí a společenský konflikt“ dále rozvíjet téma podob a důsledků konfliktu, a to formou samostatné práce, řízené vedoucím kursu. Samostatná práce v semináři se koncentruje na dva okruhy: rozvíjí teoretické znalosti na základě četby cizojazyčné (pravděpodobně anglické) odborné literatury; z této četby student připravuje referát; a sestupuje do hloubky při samostatném studiu některého nového náboženského hnutí, které se ocitlo v konfliktu. Na základě tohoto studia student připraví text seminární práce.

Témata:

Témata vyplynou z aktuální společenské situace a ze zájmu jednotlivých účastníků kursu; je možné předpo­kládat, že mezi tématy bude Mezinárodní společenské hnutí AllatRa, scientologické hnutí, společenství kolem Richarda Šiffera nebo církev Šinčchondži.
