-A Silicon Valley Perspective- This is a practically oriented course which will provide students with the skills to analyze, draft, edit and negotiate a wide variety of technology agreements. Real life examples of contracts and contract clauses will be presented and discussed in detail by Professor Lyon, a corporate executive and general counsel from Silicon Valley with 20 years of experience in technology, including the Internet, software, mobile, telecom, and intellectual property. The is a rare opportunity to obtain knowledge key to representing technology start-ups and entrepreneurs, as well as established companies which desire to obtain or offer technology based products or services. Professor Lyon has also been an adjunct professor for the University of San Francisco- School of Law, and has taught international transactions in San Francisco, Dublin, Riga and Prague. He is currently an attorney for multiple start-up companies in Silicon Valley and is a member of the California State Bar and the Silicon Valley Association of General Counsel. The course will be taught in English.
