By the end of the semester students will be able to introduce themselves and have a simple conversation about themselves. They will be able to navigate around the city, ask for and give simple directions, aks for prices of foos and drinks, order and pay for a meal at a restaurant. They will learn the days of the week and make simple arrangements and apologies. They will be able to use the past tense to talk about what they did and say what happened and talk about |

Regular attendance, knowledge of the topics dealt with, fulfillment of all requirements, passing the final test. Attendance is mandatory. Maximum four absences allowed. |

Units 1 - 6 will be covered: Introduction, personal information; Asking for and giving directions; Restaurant, ordering food; (students are expected to be familiar with those topics) New topics: Telling time, making arrangements; Talking about people, family; Talking about past (what you did); Talking about locations (prepositions+locative case) The course is free for students accepted at the Faculty of Arts. The price for students from other Faculties or Universities is 130 EUR (textbook not included).
