Sylabus - angličtina

1st year students will be divided into two groups.

The female part will rehearse separately (choirmaster Mgr. Veronika Holcová) on Tuesday 16:15-17:45 in C221. This choir is intended primarily for less experienced singers. Other interested women from other fields can also apply to join the choir. For more advanced singers, we recommend membership in the chamber choir, led by Mgr. Sylvie Sasková. The students will print out the sheet music sent as an attachment to the e-mail after logging into SIS and bring it to each exam. During the semester, they will learn the assigned pieces by heart.
Repertoire of the women's choir: e.g. A. Dvořák: Moravian Duets - selection, J. Teml: The Holy Scripture Has Been Fulfilled, arrangements of songs by the Semafor Theater and others

Men from the 1st year will be members of the mixed choir, led by doc. Marek Valášek.
The mixed choir rehearses on Tuesdays from 3:20 p.m. to 4:50 p.m. in C205.

The specifics of the discipline consist in the simultaneous education of students of different years, equipped with different degrees of musical skill level and degree of previous solo singing or choral practice. The study of specific compositions enables one to gain an overview of the choral literature of a certain choral group and the principles of its interpretation. The content of the subject is active membership in one of the existing faculty groups. Simultaneously with the education of a choral singer, the subject follows individual experience with the interpretation of specific vocal works performed with the choir on various occasions. In addition to regular participation in exams and proof of mastery of the studied repertoire, a written review of concerts by professional choral ensembles, as well as participation in the organization of the training and the preparation of the accompanying text of the concert program, is a condition for credit.
