Předmět je vyučován v bakalářském studijním programu Specializace ve zdravotnictví - Obor: Veřejné zdravotnictví v 1. ročníku.
V předmětu jsou studenti seznámeni se základními metodami morálního rozvažování, další hlavní témata jsou princip respektu k autonomii nemocného, etické aspekty onkologické péče, euthanasie, práva pacientů, etické aspekty asistované reprodukce, genetického poradenství, ekonomika ve zdravotnictví.

The course makes part of the bachelor's study program of Specialization in Health Care - Field: Public Health in 1st year. In the course, students become familiar with basic methods of moral thinking, the principle of respect for patient autonomy, ethical aspects of oncology care, euthanasia, patients' rights, ethical aspects of assisted reproduction, genetic counseling, the economy in health care.

4. Naučit studenta samostatnému etickému rozvažování

The aim of the course is
1. To orient students in the basic issues of general moral theories
2. To acquaint students with the most troubled areas of ethics in health care
3. Point to specific problems and ethical dilemmas within the current medical practice in the Czech Republic
4. Teach students an independent ethical thinking
