Cílem předmětu je prohloubit obeznámenost studentů s odbornou literaturou ve vybrané tematické oblasti v rámci zaměření diplomové práce. Studenti v rámci předmětu provedou bibliografickou rešerši domácí a zahraniční literatury z dané tematické oblasti, na základě rešerše vyberou relevantní tituly, tyto prostudují a zpracují do podoby komentované bibliografie. Předmět vede vyučující s vhodnou specializací, obvykle vedoucí diplomové práce. Výuka je realizována formou individuálních konzultací, pakliže pro tento účel není otevřen speciální seminář pro všechny studenty určitého tematického zaměření.
Zkouška je ústní a probíhá formou pohovoru s vedoucí*m předmětu/práce nad komentovanou bibliografií a jejími závěry. Zkouška ověřuje přehled studujících v tematické oblasti, hloubku porozumění, strukturovanost přehledu vzhledem k stanovenému cíli přehledu (a diplomové práce jako celku) a syntézu poznatků do závěrů a zjištění využitelných v diplomové práci.

The aim of the course is to deepen students' familiarity with professional literature in a selected thematic area within the scope of their thesis. As part of the course, students will conduct a bibliographic search of domestic and foreign literature in the given thematic area, select relevant titles based on the search, study them, and compile them into an annotated bibliography. The course is taught by a lecturer with appropriate specialization, usually the thesis supervisor. Teaching takes the form of individual consultations, unless a special seminar is open to all students of a particular thematic focus for this purpose.
The exam is oral and takes the form of an interview with the course/thesis supervisor on the annotated bibliography and its conclusions. The exam tests students' knowledge of the subject area, depth of understanding, structure of the overview in relation to the set objective of the overview (and the thesis as a whole), and synthesis of knowledge into conclusions and findings that can be used in the thesis.
