Anotace
Course objectives:
Social policy and social work play crucial roles in processes of social inclusion and exclusion in modern welfare states. This course examines the interdependence between these two fields by focusing on: a) How social policy impacts social work from a top-down perspective, and b) the bottom-up influence of social work and social workers on the development of social policy, as well as their role in implementation of policies. The course delves into theories and concepts related to social inclusion
and exclusion, social rights, legal norms and their applications. The specific topics, policies, and target groups covered in the course may change depending on the current societal challenges and needs.

The course will be organized in six teaching blocks, which will focus on the following topics:

3. Specifics of the Social Work Practice in the Czech Republic
4. Social Welfare for Families of Diverse backgrounds and Context
5. Student´s Presentations of Final Papers
