Kurz se zabývá vývojem profese architekta a stavitele na pozadí kulturně-historického vývoje českých zemí v 19. a první polovině 20. století. Nejprve budou představeny obecné aspekty vývoje architektonického a stavebního školství, správy a práva v habsburské monarchii. Dále bude sledován profesní a společenský vzestup této sociální skupiny na pozadí formování národní identity českého a německého etnika ve druhé polovině 19. století. V závěru se kurz zaměří na přiblížení sociálně-kulturní role architektů a stavitelů v první fázi budování československého státu v první polovině 20. století.

The course deals with the development of the profession of architect and builder against the background of the cultural-historical development of the Czech lands in the 19th and the first half of the 20th century. First, general aspects of the development of architectural and building education, administration and law in the Habsburg Monarchy will be presented. Second, the professional and social rise of this social group will be monitored against the background of the formation of the national identity of the Czech and German ethnic groups in the second half of the 19th century. Third, the course will focus on the role of architects and builders in the first phase of building the Czechoslovak state in the first half of the 20th century.

Využití nástrojů umělé inteligence je přípustné pouze jako podpora při rešerši, jazykové a stylistické korektuře či strukturaci textu, nikoli jako náhrada autorské činnosti. Studující jsou povinni v textu uvést, zda, jakým způsobem, proč a jaké konkrétní nástroje byly při zpracovávání eseje využity. Studující musí být schopni vysvětlit, ověřit a obhájit veškeré části textu, za něž nesou autorskou odpovědnost. Studující berou na vědomí, že výstupy nástrojů AI mohou obsahovat faktické chyby, nevěrohodné nebo smyšlené informace, stylistické nepřesnosti nebo kulturní zkreslení. Použití AI studující nezbavuje odpovědnosti za věcnou správnost a kvalitu předkládaného textu.

The use of artificial intelligence tools is permissible only as support for research, linguistic and stylistic proofreading or structuring of the text, not as a substitute for authorial work. Students are required to state in the text whether, how, why and which specific tools were used in the preparation of the essay. Students must be able to explain, verify and defend all parts of the text for which they bear authorial responsibility. Students acknowledge that the outputs of AI tools may contain factual errors, unreliable or fabricated information, stylistic inaccuracies or cultural distortions. The use of AI does not relieve the student of responsibility for the factual accuracy and quality of the submitted text.
