This is one of the courses of the UPCES programme (the Undergraduate Program in Central European Studies);

This course and accompanying excursions will introduce students to the history of the Czech Republic and its
capital city, Prague, while also showing the development of its urban structure and main social functions.

This is one of the courses of the study abroad Undergraduate Program in Central European Studies (UPCES) held in cooperation with the partner institution CERGE-EI. It is designed for the US students participating in the programme as a whole while the Czech and international students of the Faculty of Humanities are welcome to selecte single courses from the programme. Students are required to follow the instructions and requirements specified in the course syllabus. Attendance is mandatory. Regular attendance is necessary in order to get credit and grade. Students are allowed to have only one unexcused absence per semester. Exam Dates Winter Semester: beginning of November (midterm exams); before the middle of December (final exams) Summer Semester: the first half of April (midterm exams); before the middle of May (final exams)

This is one of the UPCES courses held in cooperation with the partner institution CERGE-EI, designed for the US students and the Czech and international students of the Faculty of Humanities. These courses are scheduled either twice (2x90 min.) or once (1x180 min.) a week in the CERGE-EI classrooms (Politických vězňů 7, Praha 1)or in the Jinonice Campus. Attendance is mandatory. Podmínky zápisu:
Studenti si mohou zapsat nejvýše 2 UPCES kurzy za semestr. Pokud se po první hodině rozhodnete kurz dále nenavštěvovat, s ohledem na své kolegy se co nejdříve odregistrujte. Kapacita kurzu: (FHS studenti včetně samoplátců) + (zahraniční non-degree studenti) viz celkový počet míst (záložka "detail" předmětu). Jedná se o UPCES kurz, pravidelná docházka je povinná.
