Kurz je určen pro lékaře, veterinární lékaře nebo osoby s jiným vysokoškolským vzděláním biologického oboru,
kde se během studia prokazatelně seznámili s metodami chovu a práce na pokusných zvířatech.

The course is intended for doctors, veterinarians or persons with other higher education in the field of biology, who
during their studies have demonstrably become familiar with the methods of breeding and working with
experimental animals.

Požadavky ke zkoušce -
Kurz je ukončen zkouškou - písemným testem, po úspěšném složení zkoušky získá student příslušné kredity v
SIS.
Na dvou termínech zkoušky bude též přítomen zkušební komisař z Ministerstva zemědělství ČR a kromě
standardní zkoušky budou mít zájemci z řad absolventů kurzu možnost získat Osvědčení o odborné způsobilosti
k navrhování pokusů a projektů pokusů s platností 7 let od Ministerstva zemědělství ČR. Získání osvědčení je
podmíněno úspěšným absolvováním testu MZe ČR.

The course ends with an exam in one term - a written test in the presence of an examination commissioner from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic. In the event of successful completion of the exam, the course participant will receive a Certificate of Professional Competence for Designing Experiments and Experiment Projects from the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic, valid for 7 years, and will also receive the relevant credits in SIS.
In the event of failure or absence from the exam, course participants will be offered alternative dates for taking the exam under the same conditions as in the first term, but only with the gain of credits, but without the possibility of obtaining a Certificate of Professional Competence for Designing Experiments and Experiment Projects.

Sylabus -
a) ustanovení zákona a prováděcích právních předpisů k němu vydaných,
b) další právní předpisy České republiky týkající se získávání a chovu zvířat, péče o ně a jejich používání pro vědecké účely, zejména veterinární zákon, trestní zákoník, právní předpisy upravující způsob organizace práce a pracovních postupů, které je zaměstnavatel povinen zajistit při práci související s chovem zvířat, zákon o ochraně přírody a krajiny, zákon o myslivosti a zákon o rybářství,
c) ustanovení předpisů Evropské unie a mezinárodní smlouvy podle čl. 10 Ústavy na úseku ochrany zvířat proti týrání, které upravují ochranu pokusných zvířat11),
d) etické otázky týkající se vztahu člověka a pokusných zvířat, přirozené hodnoty života a argumentů pro a proti používání pokusných zvířat pro vědecké účely,
e) základní biologie a příslušná druhově specifická biologie ve vztahu k anatomii, fyziologickým znakům, chovu, genetice a genetickým změnám pokusných zvířat,
f) etologie pokusných zvířat, chov a úprava prostředí,
g) druhově specifické metody zacházení s pokusnými zvířaty,
h) péče o zdraví pokusných zvířat a hygiena,
i) uznání druhově specifického strachu, bolesti a utrpení většiny běžných druhů pokusných zvířat,
j) znecitlivění, metody snižující bolest a usmrcování pokusných zvířat,
k) používání hledisek humánního zacházení s pokusnými zvířaty,
l) požadavek nahrazení a omezení používání pokusných zvířat a šetrného zacházení s nimi,
m) návrh pokusů a projektů pokusů,
n) vedení, evidence, statistika, archivace a ochrana údajů souvisejících s chovem a použitím pokusných zvířat,
o) výživa pokusných zvířat,
p) specifika pokusů na hospodářských zvířatech a volně žijících zvířatech mimo zařízení uživatele pokusných zvířat, včetně odchytu volně žijících zvířat.
