Absolventi kurzu by měli být schopni diskutovat o hlavní aspektech stárnutí populace. Měli by být schopni vysvětlit, z jakých důvody byly po roce 1990 v zemích střední Evropy realizovány důchodové reformy, a též znát obsah těchto reforem. |

Kurz začíná obecným přehledem současných globálních výzev a různých přístupů k jejich řešení. Dále se zaměříme na demografické změny: stárnutí v rozvinutých ekonomikách, silné ročníky mladých lidí (youth bulge) v některých rozvojových zemích a politiky jednoho dítěte v Číně. Krátce budeme diskutovat o ekonomických, environmentálních a sociálních důsledků zmíněných demografických trendů. Následně obrátíme pozornost ke středoevropským důchodovým systémům. Budeme analyzujeme návrhy, jak zreformovat důchodové systémy, aby byly "odolné budoucnosti". Dále budeme např. zkoumat, zda návrhy na reformu jsou hospodárné, zda jsou robustní vůči různým šokům a zda berou v úvahu zájmy zúčastněných stran.
Blok 1 - přednáška Globální problémy, stárnutí populace a jejich důsledky pro společnost.
