Kurz pro mírně pokročilé pokrývá úroveň mezi A2 až B1. Studenti pokračují ve studiu e-učebnice Můj semestr v Česku od lekce 8, kterou lze nalézt zde: https://fsv.cuni.cz/en/study/language-centre/czech-foreigners-textbook
Kurz sestává z 24 lekcí, které se konají dvakrát týdně v průběhu celého semestru,jedna lekce trvá 80 minut, je nutné chodit na obě lekce týdně.
Cena kurzu činí 4800 českých korun. Studenti zapsaní v bakalářském či magisterském programu za kurz neplatí přímo v pokladně, jako studenti programu Erasmus či PhD. studenti, nýbrž prostřednictvím interfakultního finančního vyrovnání.
V případě, že se student bez omluvy nedostaví na první dvě lekce v semestru, jeho místo připadne aktivním studentům z čekací listiny.

Czech for Intermediate I. covers the level A2 /B1. The textbook you can find here: https://fsv.cuni.cz/en/study/language-centre/czech-foreigners-textbook, in this course will be covered lesson 8-14 (topics: What to do when we are sick, How to apologize, How do we look like and what do we wear, How do we plan, What we do on a visit).
Considering organization:24 classes are held twice a week, one lesson lasts 80 minutes, cca 40 minutes students complete their self- study duties. It's necessary to take both lessons per week. The course takes place for 12 weeks during regular faculty term.
The price for course is 4800 CZK (equivalent to cca. 180 Euro)
Students enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's programme do not pay for the course directly at the cash desk, as Erasmus or PhD students do, but through interfaculty financial settlement. (Students in English programmes who pay tuition fees and have this course on their study plan do not pay for this course).
If a student fails to attend the first two classes of the semester without excuse, his/her place will be taken by active students on the waiting list.

Metody výuky -
Výuková videa, role- play, konverzace, autentické konverzace s rodilými mluvčími.
O AI: V tomto kurzu se setkáte s situacemi a kontexty, ve kterých budete vybízeni k používání nástrojů umělé inteligence, abyste prozkoumali, jak je lze využít. To bude probíhat pouze na dobrovolné bázi. Mimo tyto situace vás žádáme, abyste nástroje umělé inteligence nepoužívali k vytváření obsahu (textu, videa, zvuku, obrázků), který bude součástí studentských prací (úkolů, aktivit, odpovědí atd.) a bude hodnocen v rámci tohoto kurzu.
Při procvičování jazykových dovedností je v pořádku používat AI na podporu vašeho jazykového rozvoje. Můžete ji použít pro brainstorming, vytváření osnov, dokonce i při trénování psaní. Pamatujte však, že není v pořádku používat AI k tomu, aby za nás přemýšlela nebo za nás dělala těžkou práci s vymýšlením, jak vyjádřit naše myšlenky v psaném projevu. PSANÍ = MYŠLENÍ.
Pokud jde o práci učitelů s AI, jakékoli použití nástrojů umělé inteligence bude prováděno způsobem, který chrání osobní údaje studentů. Práce studentů nebudou použity k trénování modelů AI.

Like in each Czech course the emphasis is put on speaking and understanding. Students work in couples or groups, they do presentations with questions for colleagues, they watch teasers from Czech movies, read Czech newspaper. During lessons short video spots are used that help students to be well oriented in a given communicative situation.
Here are situations and contexts within this course where you will be encouraged to use AI tools to explore how they can be used. This will only be done on a voluntary basis. Outside of those circumstances, you are asked not to use AI tools to generate content (text, video, audio, images) that will end up in any student work (assignments, activities, responses, etc) that is part of your evaluation in this course.
When practising your language skills, it is ok to use AI to support your language development. You can use it for brainstorming, creating outlines, even when training written production. Remember it is not ok, however, to use AI to think for us or to do the hard work of figuring out how to express our ideas in our writing. WRITING = THINKING.
As far as teachers’ work with AI is concerned, any use of artificial intelligence tools will be carried out in a way that protects students' personal data. Student work will not be used to train AI models.

Požadavky ke zkoušce -
Předpokladem pro získání 6 kreditů a získání zkoušky je aktivní účast v kurzu (70%). Aktivní účast tvoří třetinu Vaší závěrečné známky. Zkoušku není možné skládat online. Pokud se student potřebuje vrátit do své země před koncem kurzu, musí se domluvit s učitelem na termínu ústní zkoušky, je to jeho zodpovědnost. Zkoušku lze skládat i u jiného učitele, ale jen s povolením od obou učitelů.
80 minut výuky s lektorem, 40 minut domácí práce
Z celkového počtu kurzu je nutná účast na minimálně 18 kurzech, možné je mít maximálně 3 absence (kdykoli student potřebuje), další absence už pouze se skenem omluvenky od lékaře
Požadujeme aktivní přístup, tzn.
- plnění zadaných úkolů v hodině
- plnění zadané domácí práce
- midterm po 6 týdnech výuky nebo testy na závěr každé tematické lekce. O zvoleném způsobu bude informovat vyučující. Úspěšné absolvování midterm testu/testů jsou nezbytným předpokladem pro připuštění k final testu.
- final po 12 týdnech výuky
- písemná zkouška hodnocená na škále A- E (100 - 50%)
Pakliže student nesplní všechny domácí úkoly či neabsolvuje midterm test, známka se snižuje o jeden stupeň
Běžná výuka
Psaný test (60min): požadovaná slovní zásova a gramatika
Požadavky k ústní zkoušce: dle aktuálního zadání sylabu.
Celková známka sestává z aktivity ve třídě, testu v polovině semestru a závěrečné zkoušky, která má ústní i psanou část.

The prerequisite for obtaining 6 credits and passing the exam is active participation in the course (70%). Active participation constitutes one third of your final grade. The exam cannot be taken online. If the student needs to return to his/her country before the end of the course, it is the student's responsibility to arrange an oral exam with the teacher. The exam can also be taken with another teacher, but only with permission from both teachers.
80 minutes of interactive studying with a teacher, reamining 40 minutes of self studies.
Of the total number of courses it is necessary to complete a minimum of 18 courses , it is possible to have at maximum of three absences (whenever the student needs it) other absences only with a confirmation of the doctor.
We require an active approach, ie.
- complete all assigned tasks during the lesson
- complete all homework
- midterm (after 6 weeks of the term) or tests at the end of each thematic lesson. The teacher will inform students about the chosen method. Successful completion of the midterm test(s) is a prerequisite for admission to the final test.
- final (after 12 weeks of the term)
- written exam evaluated on a scale A-E (100%- 50%)
In case all mentioned obligations are not met, final grade is reduced by on degree
Final test (60min): required grammar and vocabulary
Final score is consisted of attendance, performance in class, midterm test and final exam - oral and written part.
A 75% attendance is requiered.
