In this seminar students will get an introduction into media literacy as well as into the transfer of academic knowledge to the general public. To successfully finish the course, students have to submit all the tasks: develop a plan of dissemination and knowledge transfer for their research project, write policy recommendations based on their research project (dissertation) and present their dissemination plan at the final meeting. Seminar plan: 2 intense face-to-face sessions and remote work Session 1-4 (intense, face-to-face): intoduction, outline of the semester, introduction into media literacy, introduction into knowledge transfer, how to make own academic work relevant for stake holders. Session 5-10 (student’s remote work, online support): students identify main stakeholders for the topic of their dissertation, students develop a plan of dissemination and knowledge transfer for their research project (dissertation), students write policy recommendations based on their research project (dissertation).
