The MA course in Post-Digital Photojournalism provides comprehensive knowledge in the field of contemporary. photojournalism. The course design integrates theoretical knowledge with hands-on practical skills, fostering a holistic understanding of the subject. Including ethical discussions throughout the course should help the students to deliver responsible journalism. Students are encouraged to think critically about the ethical challenges they may encounter in their careers. Practical workshops on lighting, flesh photography, and multimedia enhance students' technical skills.

Requirements: 

1) Active participation in lectures is expected.
2) Three photo assignments submitted on time. (Photo story, multimedia project, portrait) (max. 30 points - 10 each)
Note: assignments not submitted via MOODLE on time are automatically evaluated with 5 points less if submitted within a week from the deadline. If submitted later than that, they are evaluated with 0 points
3) Semestral project - picture story (30 points total)
4) Exhibition panel(s) of semestral project (5 points)
5) Student presentation (5 points)
4) Compulsory final test (min. 16, max. 30 points) - consists only of the information the class covers.

Final Grading
Successful finishing: at least 51 points.
• over 91 => A
• 81-90 => B
• 71-80 => C
• 61-70 => D
• 51-60 => E
• 0-50 => F

Assignment evaluation: 
1) Subject matter and idea (3 points) – appropriacy of selected theme/topic (Each photograph should have a clear message/topic). Clearly communicated idea.
2) Composition (3 points) – sound composition, with clear layout and division between the image plane, without interfering with objects/subjects. Use of appropriate angle and focal length.
3) Image technical quality (4 points) – well-focused, sound postproduction, good exposure of the situation/object that is photographed. Good contrast and saturation. When black and white – properly converted

FIRST DEADLINE – The assignment must be submitted before class - no later than a day before the class by 1 p.m.

NOT SUBMITTED/SUBMITTED LATE – The assignment is evaluated with 0 points if submitted after the second deadline. NO EXCUSES

NOTE – Please be aware that the assignments submitted after the first deadline might not be discussed in class because of time constraints.

Semestral project evaluation  

The semestral projects I and II are evaluated by 5 points for on-time submission. The assignment must be submitted no later than a day before the class by 1 p.m.
