The aim of this course is to provide essential theoretical knowledge, practical and technological skills of television journalism with an emphasis on the new technologies. Students will acquire the basic skills of television reporter, presenter and camera operator during the seminars and excursions to the public and private news TVs. Practical part combines work in the TV studio and the field. Students will work on practical projects – the final task will be a TV newscast consisted of studio work, live entries and student’s news stories prepared during the semester.

To fulfil the requirements for the final assessment following is required:
active participation in seminars (35 %)
submission of the assigned practical tasks (35 %)
participation on the final newscast (30 %)

The course consists of theoretical lectures, practical seminars and excursions.
For practical tasks, school equipment will be available for use (cameras, sound equipment, editing room). Practical tasks will be mostly carried out individually in student's free time. Please hand in the tasks via Moodle.
Excursions can be organized out of the scheduled time slot and will be announced in advance.
