Hospodářské dějiny jako obor na rozhraní ekonomie a historie vedou studenty k hlubšímu pochopení ekonomických procesů v jejich propojenosti s politickým a sociálním vývojem společnosti. Předmět nabízí moderní metodou globálních hospodářských dějin srovnání ekonomického vývoje v průběhu dvacátého století napříč různými kulturními a geopolitickými oblastmi, ve kterých se prosadily rozdílné modely růstu a odlišně působily měnící se světové ekonomické podmínky. Předmět zahrne výklad ekonomických procesů v nacionálním a zároveň transnacionálním měřítku; stranou nezůstanou ani některé ze subdisciplín hospodářských dějin: dějiny podnikání, práce i vědy, dějiny bankovnictví a finančních institucí, dějiny dopravy, průmyslu a zemědělství nebo historická demografie. V rámci semináře se studenti seznámí s tradičními i moderními metodami hospodářských dějin a klasickými i nejnovějšími texty světové historiografie hospodářských dějin.

The economic history as a field combining economics and history leads students to in-debt and better understanding of individual economic processes in connection with the political and social development of society. The course offers the modern method of global economic history - comparing the economic development throughout the 20th century across different cultural and geopolitical areas, in which various models of growth broke through and the everchanging global economic conditions had different effects. Economic proccesses in the national and transnational scope will be incorporated into lectures as well as some of the subdisciplines of economic history: the history of commerce, the history of industry and agriculture, the history of money and banking, the history of transport, the history of labour and the history of science, business history, social history and the historical demography. The course will also introduce students to traditional and modern methods of economic history on the one hand and with classical and latest economic history texts on the other.

Požadavky ke zkoušce -
Hodnocení v tomto kurzu má dvě části:
Pět krátkých esejů na témata přednášek a povinné četby (1800 znaků každý)
Závěrečná zkouška ve formě disputace nad přednáškami a povinnou četbou
Výsledný počet bodů závisí na:
1. 5 krátkých esejích - pouze eseje založené na přednáškách, kterých se student zúčastnil, se započítávají do hodnocení (1800 znaku každý,10 bodů max každý,50 bodů maxcelkem)
2 . Ústní zkouška: disputace na povinnou četbou a přednáškami (50 bodů max)
Pouze studetni, kteří submitují alespoň 3 eseje, mohou přijít k ústní zkoušce.
Použití nástrojů AI v tomto kurzu není dovoleno.

Hodnocení jedntlivých esejů
8-10 bodů excelentní odpověď na položenou otázku a bezchybná struktura textu včetně uvedení příp. citace (Chicago style)
5-7 bodů správná nebo částečně správná odpověď, ale text ne zcela logicky uspořádaný a koncentrovaný na zodpovězení otázky, bez citací a zdrojů
1-4 odpověď částečně nebo zcela mimo, chaotický text, bez citací a zdrojů
Redukce bodů za překročení limitu délky: -1 bod při překročení o 100 znaků; -2 body za překročení o 200 bodů; ...

Minimální počet 51 bodů pro úspěšné ukončení předmětu je rozděleno následovně:

The evaluation in this course has two parts:
Submission of five short essays based on lectures and compulsory reading during the term (1800 characters each)
Final exam in the form of disputation based on lectures and compulsory reading
Total grade will depend on:
1. Writing 5 short essays - only essays based on lectures student attended in person will be accepted for evaluation (1800 characters each, 10 points max, 50 points max)
2 . The oral exam: disputation on compulsory reading and lectures (50 points)
Only students who submit at least 3 essays can take the oral exam.

8-10 points: an excellent answer to the question, very well written, highly structured, and focused, incl. quotations and references
5-7 points: a correct answer to the question, but the text is not always logically structured and focused on answering the question, no or only limited quotations and references
1-4 points: no correct answer on the question, poorly structured and not focused, unclearly written, disorganised style, no quotations and references
Deduction of the points for exceeding the maximum length of 1800 characters: + 100 characters - 1 point; + 200 characters - 2 points; …
