Poslední úprava: PhDr. Lenka Šťastná, Ph.D. (09.02.2012)
Primer text: Schotter Andrew: Microeconomics: A Modern Approach, South-Western (available at CERGE-EI library).
Other useful textbook is, for example: Varian, Hal R., Intermediate Microeconomics. 7th or previous edition, 2006, W.W. Norton & Company
The primer text covers all main topics covered in the lectures. This text will be supplemented by a packet of experimental papers that test the basic concepts or suggest their extensions. Reading these papers should teach students that basic economic models could be tested and that economics is a living science with many unsolved puzzles. You can download the papers via the intranet (Moodles) or they are in the library in the folder for this course. The key for course login is "micro".
It is important that students get familiar with Moodles (http://dl1.cuni.cz/course/category.php?id=44). It will be a platform where you can download my lecture slides, referenced papers, tasks for seminars or experimental handouts. Each student will get access to the account of this subject. It could be also a platform to discuss the concepts and experiments with other students. |
