This advanced course is intended for students with prior experience in mediation. It builds on knowledge acquired in introductory courses and through independent study, and focuses on advanced topics, emerging phenomena in mediation, and practical training of the mediation process.
The course requires active student participation and a high level of engagement, including preparation for classes, reading of assigned materials, and active involvement in discussions and practical exercises. It also explores cultural differences in mediation approaches across jurisdictions. The course is designed to be interactive and requires active student participation and ongoing preparation for each class. Throughout the semester, students are expected to engage in discussions and exercises. Students are allowed to miss up to two sessions during the semester. Zápis předmětu Mediation as Dispute Resolution je velmi doporučen až po zápisu předmětu Vyjednávání a mediace I, který poskytuje klíčové základy potřebné pro plné porozumění obsahu navazující výuky.
Absolvování Vyjednávání a mediace I před zahájením Mediation as Dispute Resolution se důrazně doporučuje jako nezbytný krok pro efektivní zvládnutí pokročilejších témat. Bez dovedností a znalostí získaných v předmětu Vyjednávání a mediace I je absolvování kurzu Mediation as Dispute Resolution prakticky nemožné, neboť se výuka nevrací k základům mediace a vyjednávání a předpokládá jejich aktivní zvládnutí.
