Vstupní podmínky:
Prerekvizity nejsou dány.
Výstupy:
1. Student získá základní teoretické znalosti ze soudního lékařství včetně jejich aplikace na případech z praxe.
2. Student bude seznámen se základními obrazovými soudnělékařskými nálezy prezentovanými zejména na široké škále odborných fotografií.
3. Student absolvuje demonstrační pitvu na pitevním sále, kde mu budou prezentovány základní soudnělékařské nálezy prakticky.

Credit requirements: Only students who have the subject "Forensic Medicine" currently assigned in SIS can participate in lessons.
All lessons take place in the teaching room of the Department of Forensic Medicine, University Hospital Hradec Králové (building 5/1), unless stated otherwise.
Practical classes: Attendance at practical classes is compulsory. One absence is permitted. Attendance is checked by the teacher at the beginning of each practical class; retrospective confirmation of attendance is not possible. Unjustified late arrivals will not be accepted.
In case of more than one absence from practical classes, the student is required to make up the missed teaching by attending an autopsy practical session at the Department of Forensic Medicine. This replacement session will also include verification of the student's knowledge of the relevant topics. The date must be arranged in advance in writing with the Department's Executive Secretary. If the replacement cannot be completed during the current semester, it may, by prior agreement, be completed during the following summer semester. Completion of the replacement is a prerequisite for receiving the credit. Long-term medically certified absence for health reasons will be handled individually by written agreement with the Department's Executive Secretary. Any other absence or request for a timetable change must also be discussed in writing in advance.
Credit: The Department's Executive secretary will give credits under these conditions: - the completion of all lectures; - completion of the practical classes as specified above, including any required replacement of absences and successful verification of knowledge;
The credit will be entered into SIS after successful completion of the final credit test.
Final credit test: THE FINAL CREDIT TEST WILL BE HELD AS A WRITTEN ONLINE TEST VIA THE MOODLE PLATFORM ON THE DATES LISTED IN SIS, USING FACULTY NOTEBOOKS PROVIDED IN THE TEACHING ROOM OF THE FINGERLAND DEPARTMENT OF PATHOLOGY.
The test is taken outside regular classes at the Fingerland Department of Pathology, using faculty notebooks at the time listed in SIS and under the supervision of an authorised teacher from the Department of Forensic Medicine. Registration for the relevant date in SIS and access to MOODLE are required.
Only a student who has fulfilled all other requirements for receiving the credit in advance may register for and take the final credit test. This includes, in particular, the required attendance at practical classes and completion of any required replacement for absences. A student who has not fulfilled these requirements is not eligible to take the final credit test.
Credit-test dates will be listed in SIS. Registration and cancellation are possible only through SIS; cancellation must be made no later than 24 hours before the test begins. A late apology for health or other serious reasons will be accepted only if supported by a medical certificate or other objective documentation. If a student does not attend the test and does not provide an accepted excuse, the attempt will be recorded as forfeited in SIS. Any additional test dates outside the standard period are subject to the decision of the course guarantor and will be scheduled only after completion of all lectures and the practical part of the course.
The final credit test contains 60 single-choice questions covering the basic forensic medicine topics presented in lectures and practical classes. Legal topics and practical calculations in forensic alcohology are not included. Some questions assess recognition of basic forensic findings shown in photographs. Each question offers three possible answers. The time limit is 60 minutes. At least 40 correct answers are required to pass.
Detailed grading of the credit test: 60–54 correct answers – 1 (excellent) 53–48 correct answers – 2 (very good) 47–40 correct answers – 3 (good) 39 or fewer correct answers – fail

Syllabus:
All lectures and practical classes focus on essential forensic medicine topics and include an extensive collection of photographs of important forensic findings. Knowledge of these findings is required for successful completion of the final credit test. The teaching is also supplemented by cases from forensic practice.

Lectures – in the distance form (online): Alcohol – blood levels. Alcoholic beverages. Poisoning by ethanol and methanol. The principle of ALTEST, Widmark test and gas chromatography. Calculation of alcoholemia. Medicolegal aspects of alcoholic intoxication. Sudden and unexpected death from natural causes in adults. Forensic radiology and photography.
