The teaching is aimed at basics of gynaecological care and care during pregnancy. Ongoing screening programs
in gynaecology and obstetrics will be discussed. Students will be taught during commented live transmissions
about surgical procedures in gynaecology and obstetrics. They will be trained on Viktorie simulator for vaginal
delivery during obstetrics practical seminar, practice perineal wound repair. Basic set of gynaecological
instruments will be presented, PAP smear technique and HPV test usage will be trained. Lectures are focused on
all subspecialties in gynaecology and obstetrics aiming at both theoretical knowledge and clinical skills.

Credits before the state exam:
Therefore, there will be 3 ways how to fulfil criteria You will always need to pass final State exam at First Faculty. 1) Full attendance of 5+2weeks at the First Faculty 2) You will attend 2 weeks clinical elective (any Ob/Gyn department -worldwide), bring stamped certificate. Then you will be required to attend 3 weeks practical seminars and theoretical lectures. 3) You will attend full Ob/Gyn program of recognized university abroad. This requires receiving our pre-approval. You will send us your request, with the name of university and its Ob/Gyn syllabus. After our review you will (or not) receive our approval and you will be required before the state exam bring us a certificate from the visiting university.
State Exam: - takes place during the 7th week of traineeships. Students register for the State Exam through the Information Study System of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, Charles University State Examination Questions in Gynecology and Obstetrics – valid from 2025/26 Note: A Clinical Case refers to solving a presented patient scenario with described clinical manifestations. The answer should always begin with differential diagnosis, without which diagnostic and therapeutic planning cannot proceed. 1. a) Invasive methods of prenatal diagnosis, indications, and possibilities of fetal therapy in utero b) Clinical Case – Bleeding in the third trimester of pregnancy (differential diagnosis, diagnostics, management) c) Malignant tumors of the ovary and fallopian tube – classification and management d) Clinical Case – Genital bleeding in a 10-year-old girl (differential diagnosis, diagnostics, management)
