Anotace - angličtina
The Doctoral Seminar represents the mainstay of the study which enables mutual discussions between students and ensures their regular contact with the institution to which they belong. The student is obliged to attend it personally for the entire duration of his/her studies, even during academic years exceeding the standard period of study. At the Doctoral Seminar, students primarily present progress on their
dissertations. Furthermore, the seminar is a platform for critical reflection of other academic texts written by doctoral students or for training for the defense of a dissertation. At the Doctoral Seminar, students can
present the first versions of their papers prepared for Czech or international conferences, discuss the first versions of scholarly articles prepared as part of Academic Activities or share experiences from academic stays, conferences or other scholarly
events. Since the second year of study, part of the Doctoral Seminar is also the presentation of theses prepared for the SDZK and the discussion on them.

The pedagogues in the Doctoral Seminar supervise the continuity of work on the dissertation projects in connection with the
the study schedule determined by the individual Study Plans. During the Doctoral Seminar, the doctoral students are advised to regularly submit finished parts/chapters of their dissertations.

The Doctoral Seminar is held regularly during each academic year with standard length of two standard teaching hours every 14 days.

Completing the Doctoral Seminar will be credited for regular and active participation in the seminar, presentation of the results of one's own work and critical discussion of others' presentations.

In the case of students on international academic stays abroad, the student is excused from participation, but is not released from his/her own obligations of presentation.

For students of the combined form of study, participation is required only in half time range (approx. 13 hours per semester), supplemented by individual work scheduled by the pedagogue.
