Toto je jednosemestrální asynchronní e-learningový kurz vyučovaný v rozsahu 1x2 hodiny týdně prostřednictvím individuálně plněných úkolů v Moodlu a zpětné vazby od vyučující.
Cílem kurzu je rozvíjet a upevnit jazykové dovednosti u studentů a studentek tak, aby v následujícím zkouškovém období úspěšně složili povinnou zkoušku z anglického jazyka na úrovni B2 na FF UK.
Kurz bude zaměřen na nácvik jednotlivých cvičení, které zkouška obsahuje (poslech, gramaticko-lexikální část, čtení a psaní), rozvoj patřičné slovní zásoby a přípravu na ústní část zkoušky - výběr vhodného textu a jeho interpretace. Vzhledem k asynchronní povaze kurzu bohužel na část speaking v tomto typu kurzu bude pouze omezený prostor, a to formou namluvené prezentace zvoleného textu, kterou studující odevzdají a k níž dostanou zpětnou vazbu jak od kolegyň a kolegů, tak i od vyučující.
Kurz je určen výhradně pro ty, kteří plánují skládat zkoušku z anglického jazyka na úrovni B2 na FF UK ve stejném semestru.

This is a one-semester asynchronous e-learning course taught 1x2 hours per week through individually completed assignments in Moodle and feedback from the teacher.
The course aims to develop and consolidate the language skills of students so that they can successfully pass the compulsory English language exam at the B2 level at the Faculty of Arts, in the next examination period.
The course will focus on practising the exercises included in the exam (listening, grammar and lexis, reading and writing), developing appropriate vocabulary and preparing for the oral part of the exam - selecting an appropriate text and its interpretation. Unfortunately, due to the asynchronous nature of the course, there will be only limited space for the speaking part, in the form of an audio-visual presentation of the chosen text, which learners will submit and on which they will receive feedback from both peers and the teacher.
The course is intended exclusively for those who plan to take the English language exam at the B2 level at the Faculty of Arts in the same semester.
Enrolled learners will receive an information email at the beginning of the semester with a link to the course on Moodle.

Cíl předmětu -
Cílem předmětu je rozvoj jazykových a komunikačních dovedností tak, aby studující úspěšně zvládli zkoušku z anglického jazyka na úrovni B2.
Studující by na konci předmětu ideálně měli zvládnout představit téma z oblasti svého studia formou audio-vizuální prezentace a používat adekvátní pojmy v anglickém jazyce, prokázat porozumění neznámému akademickému textu z oblasti humanitních věd, napsat kratší náležitě strukturovaný akademický esej, v němž rozvinou několik myšlenek a obhájí svůj názor, rozlišit a vhodně aplikovat neformální a formální styl v písemné komunikaci a zvolit odpovídající slova v anglickém jazyce.

The aim of the course is to develop language and communication skills so that students can successfully pass the English language exam at the B2 level.
By the end of the course, learners should be able to present a topic in their field of study in the form of an audio-visual presentation and use appropriate English language terms, demonstrate an understanding of an unfamiliar academic text in the humanities, write a short, well-structured academic essay in which they develop several ideas and defend their point of view, distinguish and apply informal and formal styles appropriately in written communication, and choose appropriate English vocabulary.

Kurz je zakončen zápočtem, který je udělen na základě splnění těchto podmínek:
splnění všech zadaných úkolů
odevzdání záverečného úkolu v podobě namluvené prezentace vybraného akademického textu ze studovaného oboru

The course is concluded with a credit, which is awarded based on fulfilling the following conditions:
completion of all assignments in Moodle
submission of a final assignment in the form of a spoken presentation of a selected academic text in the field of study
