This course aims to introduce information about Indonesia, the 4th most populous country with the highest Muslim population in the world, and one of the currently fastest growing economies.
The course provides an overview of captivating Indonesian culture, cultural norms and also art, within a historical and global context. It deals with unique cultural diversity, multiculturalism (since Indonesia is a very diverse nation with hundreds of ethnic groups with different languages, religions and traditions), the influence of foreign cultures, and the impact of globalization on Indonesian culture. The course also discusses social etiquette, cultural differences, traditional activities and practical cultural tips for "surviving" in Indonesia.

At the end of the course there will be an oral exam (online for students who will take the course online) testing knowledge of the Indonesian culture.
