Classes focus on communication skills (reading, listening, speaking and writing). Grammar is discussed in relation to conversational topics. Students also acquire basic socio-ciutural competence. By the end of the course, students should reach level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. |

The aim of the course is to deepen the students’ existing knowledge of the Czech language and to build up on it. By the end of the semester the students are able to talk about actions in the past and future and form the plural. They will be able to describe their house or flat, speak about their hobbies and express in which part of their body they feel pain. They also converse about their plans for the future; especially those related to travelling. By the end of the course, students should reach level A1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. |

Course enrolment is based on successful completion of one of the Czech courses for beginners (Czech for Beginners - Basic Curriculum or Czech for Beginners - Enhanced Curriculum) OR the placement test. Students will learn to talk about the place they live in, their freet time, human body and illness, plans for the future. |
