OBJECTIVES
Designed as a follow-up to “Literary Minorities,” the course focuses on selected later works of the same authors, specifically Toni Morrison’s Paradise and God Help the Child, Alice Walker’s Possessing the Secret of Joy and Louise Erdrich’s Future Home of the Living God as well as a selection of stories, essays and poems by Sandra Cisneros, Audre Lorde and Joy Harjo. (It is not necessary to take “Literary Minorities” to sign up for “Literary Minorities II.”)
