    Information on the admission procedure:

    The process of admission is conducted online. The Admission Committee decides on acceptance or non-acceptance without the applicant’s presence. The decision is based on the complete documents sent by the applicant.

     

    Application form requisites:

    Applications must be submitted online and payments must be made by 11:59:59 p.m. on 30th June 2025. Once the application has been filled in online, the Information System will generate a six-digit code for each applicant, which must be used as the specific symbol during the payment of the administrative fee. Please note that once the application has been completed, it must be submitted (by clicking on the “Send” button) in order to become valid. Applications submitted online should not be printed out and sent by post. The applicant failing to duly complete the application form or to document the payment of the application fee will be notified by the Faculty and asked to rectify the shortcomings within an adequate time. In the case of failure to rectify the shortcomings within this time, the application will be deemed as invalid. The administrative fee will not be refunded.

    The applicant is required to attach to an Application form a/letter of motivation b/ a sport doctor’s confirmation that he or she is able to study at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport, c/proof of qualifications (e.g. a legalized copy of documents certifying completion of secondary education in the case of a Bachelors programme, or a legalized copy of a Bachelor´s diploma in the case of a follow-up Masters degree programme), d/ curriculum vitae, e) letter of recommendation for study, f/ internationally recognised certificate  proving the applicant’s English language skills. All the documents have to be officially translated to Czech or English language.

    Annex B/ is mandatory for study programme Coach and Fitness Coach.

    In case the application is not properly filled out, all required documents are not attached or if the application fee was covered alongside with the recognition fee payment (930 CZK), the Faculty will send out a Notice to eliminate shortcoming of the application or a Notice to pay an admission procedure fee within a time frame. Should the shortcomings not be eliminated within the set time period, the application process will be terminated and a Decision – Not Accepted will be issued. The administrative fee will not be refunded.

    Information on the admission procedure:

    The admission procedure commences with the submission of the application for study at the university.

    The application is submitted in electronic form.
    The admission exam is mandatory for all candidates. Admission criteria are set for individual study programmes.
    The faculty will send the candidate an invitation for the admission examination, with notification of its rules and course, no later than 30 days prior to the date on which it is held. If the faculty sends an invitation to a substitute admission exam, the period can be shortened accordingly.
    The Dean may enable the admission exam in the substitute term for the candidate who requests this in writing within 3 days of the day of the examination in due term, if the candidate could not take part in the examination in due term for serious and documented reasons, especially of medical nature.
    In case of illness on the day of the examination, the candidate must deliver a medical certificate within three working days and a request for a substitute term to the faculty's scientific department. The application shall be sent only via the University's electronic information system (SIS). 
    Another alternative date is not permitted.

    Completing the Master's study program is evidenced by a copy of a university diploma for CU graduates or an officially certified copy of a university diploma by graduates of other universities or a certificate of recognition of higher education by 30 September 2025. For applicants whose applications for credit of foreign education has not been decided by 30 September 2025, the period for verifying the conditions for admission (i.e., including the conditions verified based on documents) is limited to 22 October 2025.

    A candidate who has obtained a university degree at a foreign higher education institution shall submit one of the following documents in order to prove his/her prior education: a document certifying the general recognition of foreign higher education in the Czech Republic, obtained pursuant to Sections 89 and 90 of the Higher Education Act (i.e. "nostrification"); a foreign document of foreign university education which is equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international obligations without further formalities (a university diploma and its amendment from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, Slovenia; for exceptions see the website); or a foreign document of foreign university education which the faculty will assess individually (fee CZK 960). Detailed information can be found on the faculty's website, in the candidates, the admission procedure section. The fee will be paid by the candidate together with the payment for the application or at the time when s/he requests the assessment of his/her foreign education within the admission procedure.     Faculty of Physical Education and Sport accepts applications only via the electronic form. The electronic form can be found at https://is.cuni.cz/studium/eng/.

    It is necessary to send the application in the electronic system including the mandatory attachments and to pay a fee.

    General information

    Information on the faculty: Faculty of Physical Education and Sport (hereinafter referred to as the FPES CU) is a university workplace that develops socio-scientific, biomedical, pedagogical and other disciplines that belong to the kinanthropology and biomechanics field of science. In the area of education, the faculty focuses on the professional preparation of future secondary and tertiary teachers, trainers, instructors, physiotherapists, managers and other professionals in the field of physical and health education, recreational, performance and professional sport for specific educational environments at various levels of state and public administration and of the private sector. In regard to research activities, the faculty focuses on the research of the biological, psychological and social aspects of human physical activity, on the research of the conditions, course and effects of the teaching, training, health-reconditioning and physiotherapeutic process in a specific educational environment and in different groups of the population. One of the educational goals of the faculty is the involvement of students in the research tasks of individual departments and laboratories. The faculty offers medical care and meals to all students and also the limited capacity of accommodation in the FPES CU campus. Candidates must demonstrate physical and professional conditions conforming to the requirements of individual FPES CU study programmes and fields.
