    Charge for the admission procedure

    Charge for an on-line application: 600
    Charge for a paper application: 650
    Note: The fee for the admissions procedure must be paid by 31 March 2018.
    The fee must be paid by bank transfer so that the Faculty obtains the full amount specified. The code generated when submitting the electronic application form should be quoted in the message for the recipient so the payment can be identified.
    Or: The fee can be paid in Prague before the entrance interviews.

    Information on the admission procedure: Applications for studies are submitted in paper form on the relevant form sent to the address of the faculty or in electronic form by means of the university online system. Applications that are submitted electronically no longer have to be printed and sent by post.
    Application form requisites: The admissions procedure starts with the submission of the application to the institute of higher education. In the application form applicants must give their first name or names; surname; birth identification number, if they have one; and the address of permanent residence in the Czech Republic, or the address of residence outside the Czech Republic. Applicants who are not Czech citizens must also give their date of birth, sex, address in the Czech Republic, and state citizenship. Only the applicant whose application for studies is being submitted is a participant in the admissions procedure.

    Applicants should send the application in paper form to: Study Department, Charles University in Prague, Protestant Theological Faculty, Černá 9, P.O. Box 529, CZ-11555 Praha 1. All documents should be in English except for the secondary school leaving certificate and bachelor's degree certificate.

    Further documents required for the application:

    Curriculum vitae.

    A copy of your secondary school leaving certificate (A levels, Abitur, baccalauréat, high school diploma, or equivalent).

    A copy of your bachelor's degree certificate. This must be "nostrified", see http://www.cuni.cz/UKEN-329.html

    A certificate of your English language skills to B2 level or higher. This is not necessary if it can be seen from your secondary school leaving certificate or your bachelor's degree that you studied that programme in English.

    A personal letter of application setting out your motivation and your reasons for wishing to study Protestant theology in Prague.

    Under Art. 4 (5) of the Admissions Procedure Code of Charles University, the faculty is to send to an applicant the invitation to an entrance examination through the University Electronic Information System not later than 30 days before the date of the examination. Should the faculty send an invitation for an alternative date of the entrance examination this period may be shortened accordingly. A password to log into the electronic information system is obtained by an applicant after the applicant has submitted the application to study

    The entrance examination takes the form of an interview, during which applicants have to defend the proposal for their research project before the admition commision.

    On the basis of the recommendation of the branch council the
    Dean of the Faculty decides on whether applicants will be admitted to study.

    Documents required for the application:
    The completed application form, together with a short CV, an overview of studies undertaken so far, an outline of the research project, a certified copy of the Master’s degree (if the applicant has already completed their Master’s studies), and proof that the fee has been paid. It is recommended that the application form is completed in electronic form at https://is.cuni.cz/studium/eng/prijimacky/index.php . The code generated there can be quoted in the message for the recipient when paying the administrative fee so the payment can be identified.
