Information on the admission procedure: | Additional specifications of the admission process are stated in the descriptions of the study programs. All study programs are carried out without specialization. Conditions of admission: 1) Submission of a duly completed application form by the specified deadline, including the prescribed components and attachments; 2) achievement of the point threshold for admission set by the Dean, which is determined by the Dean taking into account the number of applicants taking the entrance examination, taking into account the capacity and economic possibilities of the Faculty; 3) supplying a certified copy of a document certifying completion of a master's degree - applicants who have completed their studies abroad shall submit proof of equivalence of education in cases where this is required by law. The applicant who completed the previous higher education at a foreign higher education institution, must submit one of the following documents: a document obtained in accordance with sections 89 and 90 of the Higher Education Act proving general recognition of a foreign higher education in the Czech Republic (so-called "nostrification"); a foreign document concerning a foreign higher education if it is deemed automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administrative procedures (a higher education diploma and diploma supplement from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia); or a foreign document concerning a foreign higher education to be assessed by the Faculty (for a fee of CZK 960). Detailed information about the manner of proving fulfilment of the requirement of completion of a bachelor’s or master’s programme of study for graduates of foreign higher education institutions is available on the faculty website https://fhs.cuni.cz/FHSENG-912.html. The applicant should send the required documents to the address of the Faculty no later than August 31, 2025. The applicant should pay the recognition fee (together with the application fee, or later when they submit the documents to the Faculty for the purpose of recognition) when they file a request for recognition of the foreign education. A letter announcing the exam’s date is sent to applicants in advance. Applicants who cannot take the exam because of justified reasons (for example, illness) are given an extra opportunity to take the exam. Taking an entrance exam at a different school on the same day is not considered a justified reason. The request for a later date should include the justification (for example, a medical report) and should be delivered to the Doctoral Study Administration Office no later than three calendar days of the exam’s regularly scheduled date. Applicants with a disability, such as a specific learning difficulty, can request that the admission process be specially adapted to meet their needs. In this case a medical report must be included with the application form. Applicants must show a passport or other official identity document to take the exam. No dictionaries or other books, prior notes, mobile phones or other digital devices are allowed during the exam. |
