    Charge for the admission procedure

    Note: The due date for application fee is 3 days after the deadline for submitting the application for study. If the applicant does not pay the fee within this deadline, the faculty will take into acount that the applicant has withdrawn their application and intention to study.     Information on the admission procedure: Obligatory entrance procedure (held in English) based on a written testing (multiple choice test) of the applicant’s knowledge of basic science (Biology, Chemistry and Physics or Mathematics) and an interview.

    In case of an unfavorable epidemic situation, the entrance exam will be done online. Applicants will be informed about the form of the entrance exam by invitation for the entrance exam no later than thirty days before the entrance exam.

    Under Art. 4 (5) of the Admissions Procedure Code of Charles University, the faculty will send to an applicant an invitation to the exam along with the notification of its rules, no later than thirty days before the exam is being held. If the faculty sends an invitation to an alternative entrance examination date, said time period may be shortened accordingly. A password to log into the electronic information system is obtained by an applicant after the applicant has submitted the application to study.

    If you completed the previous level of education at a foreign secondary school, submit one of the following documents: a document proving that a foreign document concerning the obtainment of secondary education is generally recognised as equivalent or valid in the Czech Republic (so-called “nostrification”), or a document proving the granting of the European Baccalaureate, or a document proving the granting of theInternational Baccalaureate, issued by an International Baccalaureate World School, authorized by the Swiss foundation International Baccalaureate or associated with an International Baccalaureate World Schools association recognized by the Swiss foundation International Baccalaureate, or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education completed with a “maturita” examination, if it is deemed automatically equivalent in the Czech Republic in accordance with its international agreements without any further administrative procedures (a “maturita school leaving certificate” from Slovakia, Poland, Hungary, or Slovenia), or a foreign document concerning a foreign secondary education to be assessed by the faculty (for a fee of CZK 990). Detailed information about the manner of proving fulfilment of the requirement of obtainment of secondary education with a “maturita” school-leaving examination for graduates of foreign secondary schools is available on the faculty website in section Applicants.     Charge for the admission procedure

    Note: The fee for actions connected with the admission procedure for studies in English language is de-termined in accordance with Act 58 (4) of the Higher Education Act and the Dean´s Measure No. 5/2025 and amount to 2500, - CZK . The fee shall be payable on the third calendar day following the deadline for submission of the application for study. Failure to pay the fee within this period shall be deemed as a withdrawal of the application.     Other information

    Information on the admission procedure: The condition, content and form of entrance exam are provided individually to each study program (see links in the schedule). In special cases the applicant can ask to pass the admission exam
    in some different way (i.e. a videoconference). The Dean makes the decision.
    Entrance procedure without an admission exam is not permitted.

Detailed information about the manner of prov-ing fulfilment of the requirement of completion of a bachelor’s or master’s programme of study for graduates of foreign higher education institutions is available on the faculty website in section Appli-cants.     • Authenticated copies of a master´s diploma and a supplement of the diploma, eventually a do-cument on the recognition of foreign higher education at master degree (Applicants, who have not yet finished their master degree at the time of filling the application, will submit a docu-ment issued by their university confirming they are enrolled in the last year of their long cycle or consecutive master program and a document stating when they can be expected to finish their study.) If documents are not issued in Czech, Slovak or English, also their official transla-tion is required. The authentication has to be made according to the country of origin of the diploma as the recognition procedure is based on international agreements. De-pending on the group in which the country of origin is listed, the applicant will submit either an authenticated copy (by Czech or foreign notary or Czech Point) of the document or an au-thenticated copy of the document with Apostille or an authenticated copy of the document with superlegalization (for superlegalization the documents proving the completion of studies must be verified: a) by the Foreign Office of the country of origin of the university/college is-suing the document and b) by the relevant embassy of the Czech Republic). In the group which allows the replacement of the Apostille by an email form the foreign school only an au-thenticated copy (by Czech or foreign notary or Czech Point) of the document is needed. The email with confirmation has to be send directly from the foreign school to the email of faculty which does the assessment.

    General information

    Information on the faculty: Faculty of Medicine in Hradec Králové started its educational activities on November 25, 1945 as the first university faculty in East Bohemia. Initially, the Hradec Králové faculty was established as a part of the Prague Faculty of Medicine. Due to their co-operation and assistance it was immediately possible to establish both a high quality teaching staff and an effective departmental structure in Hradec Králové.

    Since 1992 the Faculty has organised medical degree study programs in the English language (403 students studying in the academic year 2017/2018).

    To date, the studies have almost 10 000 general and dentists doctors.

    Medical degree study programs in General Medicine (6 years) and Dentistry (5 years) are arranged along the lines of theoretical, pre-clinical and clinical studies in theoretical and pre-clinical departments, clinical departments and institutes.
